Only one more sleep until ‘Strictly’ comes back on to our screens. Sad we know but our diary is cleared for Friday and Saturday night (and for the rest of autumn and winter to be completely honest) as the new show launches us into that wonderful Glitter Ball world of fake tans, sequin dresses and fab-u-lous frocks darling!
This show has done wonders for dance schools up and down the country as people get the ‘Strictly’ bug or should that be jitterbug? I also always notice in our boutique a renewed interest in glamorous evening and party dresses.
Spurred on by the spirit of ‘Strictly’, our customers seek out more sequins, glitz and glamour in their choices of dresses for the party season. It’s not often us mere mortals get a chance to sparkle and we are always so delighted when we can help ladies of all shapes and sizes step out of their comfort zone and buy a dress that is maybe a little more daring or just simply drop-dead gorgeous.
They always come back in to tell us they were bowled over by the amount of compliments they got, especially from other women. Let’s face it, we’re not known as a species for always being forthcoming in our praise of other females so you know you’ve got it right when women you don’t even know are bothering to tell you how great you look. Guess it’s equivalent of receiving a 10 from Len!
