Mums of the bride often come to me wanting to look smart but not wanting to stand out in the crowd. With so many gorgeous nude mums of the bride outfits around this season, it is easy to achieve this. These colour tones offer a sophisticated look that still gets you noticed but doesn’t overpower.

Nude or neutral tones can act as a wonderful complement to an ivory or champagne wedding dress too. This always helps to keep the bride happy!

Mums of the bride outfits – neutral know how

A netural colour such as nude, mocha or latte offers a stylish look that will never date. Remember the wedding photographs will be around for a long time!

John Charles, an award-winning occasionwear designer from London, is doing lots of gorgeous neutral tones this season. Coffee and cream features which is a timeless colour combination that will never date. Take a look at style John Charles 26263. The soft cream flower print sets off the nude background beautifully in this dress and jacket.

Veni Infantino is also offering some stunning mocha outfits. The frock coat and dress style 991009 is absolutely stunning. Again, little flashes of cream help to lift the look. The overall effect is incredibly smart and stunning.

Bear in mind that nude colours can sometimes be draining so make sure you go for warm tones of mocha if you have very fair skin.

Adding a bright pop of colour is also another great way of lifting the look. One of my customers recently bought a gorgeous mocha Veni Infantino outfit from us. She is teaming it with fuchsia pink shoes, hat and a handbag to tie in with the bridesmaid colour theme. A pop of colour like this can really work with a neutral background to set it off.

So why not go nude for the wedding?
